Some time last month I found out about Natural Cannabis Co.’s High Art competition via a friend’s Facebook share. After doing a little research I discovered they run this annual contest, along with Juxtapoz magazine, where they give artists an opportunity to create art for the brand’s packaging. The prize? $5000, a brand new Macbook and my art featured on the packaging! Of course that gets your attention lol, not to mention Juxtapoz is involved and I’m a big fan! Once I read the full details and saw their theme of  “Shapes, Patterns, Doodles, Sacred Geometry, Time and Numbers“, I knew I had to submit. Aside from time and numbers, that’s exactly what #VakseenArt encompasses! So I sent over the designs you see below (Her Royal Eminence, She Got The Jazz & Brilliant Dope) and honestly forgot about it until I received an email from their marketing department. Of over 500 submissions from over 53 countries, I was selected as a top 30 finalist!! Talk about surreal man! I’m definitely thankful that the judge panel connected with my work and blessed me with this great opportunity.
